Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical design process and ensuring that all projects are executed to the highest standards of quality and compliance. Your expertise will be pivotal in providing innovative electrical solutions for a diverse range of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Senior and Principal Electrical Engineers to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and in compliance with client specifications and industry standards.

  • Prepare and review electrical calculations for power distribution, lighting, earthing/grounding, cable sizing, voltage drop, and short circuit studies.

  • Coordinate electrical design activities with other design disciplines and collaborate with 2D/3D teams.

  • Proficiently review and assess Electrical Drawings using Navisworks.

  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of electrical drawing mark-ups for use by 2D/3D teams.

  • Validate and verify electrical, lighting designs, drawings, and calculations prior to submission to external clients.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance project efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical design, codes, and standards, including NEC, NFPA, and local building codes.

  • Advanced proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading electrical design teams.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • UK design experience is an advantage.

  • Able to assist in conducting full QA/QC reviews on the project documentation.
